  This hotel was above our expectations in excellence. Staff was friendly, courteous and professional. It appeared that they truly cared about their positions, the hotel itself and in providing excellence. I am extremely picky about cleanliness and this hotel was the cleanest we have ever experienced. We have stayed at 5-star hotels that didn't match the Best Western Plus River Escape. We were extremely satisfied and thankful that we found it and we look forward to staying here every time we visit this part of NC
